If you're into kings, queens, knights, and all things medieval you'll find it there. Plus it's only a short 3.5 hours away from Lawton, Fort Sill in Muskogee, OK.

Every weekend the Oklahoma Renaissance Festival will feature different themes, activities, and special events. You can check out the official Facebook page by clicking here to stay up to date with everything that's going on. I'm hoping to make the trip this year with the family it sounds like an amazing time. I've been to the Muskogee Castle for Halloween, but I've never had the opportunity to go to the Renaissance Festival.

There's food, drink, live performances, tons of shops, booths and they even have jousting matches at the festival. The kids will love it too, the festival has all kinds of interactive areas, arts and crafts along with other "hands-on" educational demonstrations and workshops. With them having different themes every weekend you could go several times and not see or experience the same thing. It would make the perfect staycation.

You can also call (800)-439-0658 for more information. I'm looking forward to finally making the trip to Muskogee, OK. and going to the Renaissance Festival at the castle this year.
