The Old ‘Real Person As The Scarecrow’ Candy Gag

If you want to get in on the Halloween action, but have either waited until the last minute, or don't have the energy, acting out the scarecrow is an easy one to pull off.

All you really need is a mask, you should have everything else on hand. A pair of gloves, some yard clothes, and bonus points if you let some newspaper or hay sticking out of the cuffs. If you're going to buy a mask, try to find one with the cloth over the eye holes, that way those meddling kids won't have the dead giveaway of eyeballs. Play dead, make sudden movements, have a laugh and hand out candy.
