Oklahoma is expected to receive several bouts of severe thunderstorms this week that will usher in a much desired cold front. We're slowly trickling down from 90 degree temperatures on Monday into 70 to 60 degree temperatures to end the week.

I don't know about you, but I am ready for some cooler temperatures. I put up my fall decorations over the weekend so I have officially ushered in fall at my house. Now I just need Oklahoma's weather to do the same.

After the storms move through Wednesday, that lovely cold front will settle across Oklahoma, cooling us down for the next couple of days. But if we look closely at Saturday's forecast, we'll see that Oklahoma will have a chilly, winter-like morning with temperatures in the 30s!

But it doesn't look like a frost is expected yet, so no need to cover your plants or bring them indoors. According to the Farmers' Almanac, Oklahoma isn't expected to see the first frost of the season till late October, specifically on Halloween. So we have a few more days to go before we can expect frosted windshields on our cars in the morning.

Until then, we can enjoy the much cooler temperatures coming to Oklahoma! Hopefully they're here for good. It's no fun sweating when you're dreaming of sweater weather.
