Mother Nature Scares Bejesus Out of Woman Struck by Lightning Inside Supermarket
Lightning
Yes, lightning strikes twice, but did you also know it strikes checkout lines?
A woman in Houma, Louisiana named Lakeisha Brooks miraculously suffered nothing more than minor burns after she was struck by lightning while standing in the checkout line of a supermarket on Monday.
Authorities say the lightning hit the roof, surged through the sprinkler system and hit a metal plate on the floor, which is how it hit Brooks.
Brooks certainly defied odds by getting struck. Even without standing in a covered market, chances are one-in-6,250 that someone will be struck by lightning.
