I think it's fair to say Marvel has carved a hard road to travel for themselves with what is now called The Infinity Saga. 23 movies total, most are good, some are bad, few are amazingly epic, but they all make up one cinematic experience I don't think Marvel can continue improving on.

That's the real problem with success... eventually, it runs out. Especially so in Hollywood. Look how many A-class rock star movie stars set out on a path of "can't miss" and end up sadly unable to land roles after their time has come and gone. I don't want to say Robert Downy Jr. has extinguished his own fire, but what is he doing in Dr. Doolittle? Most of these actors will most likely have a hard time finding work after Marvel. Due to the success of these movies, they won't need to work, but will want to burst out of that mold to show they can act in something other than an action film. Driven by the good part of their egos, but it most likely won't work out for them.

At the end of the day, The Infinity Saga was so good, I think Marvel will suffer the most moving forward. There are some good titles and ideas put out there for Phase 4... but I don't think they'll have the ability to maintain the path they've just ended. Eventually, we'll all look at Marvel movies like we see X-Men movies now... Not bad, but not good either. Just movies.
