Clapton Plays Jazz

 Eric Clapton is a jazz guy? He got to be one for one night, playing with Wynton Marsalis in New York Thursday. 

Clapton says he had never done anything like that before. He says he had wanted to be in a jazz band as a kid, but the guitar took him away.

Clapton played on jazz classics, and he said he'd only play "Layla" if Marsalis made it "sound like it came out of New Orleans." They played a jazz version with horns and a clarinet.
