It's hard to believe, but Summer vacation is coming to an end. Most LPS (Lawton Public Schools) are doing enrollments this week and the official first day of school for LPS students is next week on Thursday, August 12th (08-12-21). The Summer flew by and another new school year is fast approaching.

In order to enroll in LPS or really any Oklahoma public school certain immunizations have to be performed and shot records need to be provided, or an exemption filed. If your child is in need of any immunizations in order to attend school the CCHD (Comanche County Health Department) is holding a "Back to School" immunization clinic.

If you're unsure of what immunizations your child will need click here for all the details and a full listing of all the immunizations that your child will need to attend public school in Oklahoma. You'll also need the official shot record as proof of immunization in order to enroll your child. Unless an exemption is filed.

The "Back to School" CCHD immunization clinic will be open again tomorrow (08-05-21) from 8:30am until 11:00am at all three Lawton middle schools. Another clinic is scheduled in Cache on Monday (08-016-21) from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. See the official flier below for all the details and clinic locations.

A great way to stay up to date with all of CCHD immunization and COVID-19 vaccination clinics is on their official Facebook page. They do a great job of keeping everyone informed and posting regular updates.
