If you haven't heard the news yet Evil Dead the Musical is coming to Lawton, Fort Sill to the Trail of Fear on select dates throughout the month of October. Being a HUGE FAN of Bruce Cambell and the Evil Dead franchise I've always wanted to see it and now I'll finally get my chance. Evil Dead the Musical takes elements from Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, and Army of Darkness and mixes them all together for what's been called one of the funniest, craziest, and bloodiest musical experiences in the history of musicals.

I can't wait to see this and sit front and center in the splatter zone to get the full experience. From everything I've heard, read, and have been told by friends and family it's a "must-see" for all Evil Dead fans. Even people who are unfamiliar with the franchise love this musical. How you could be unfamiliar with the single greatest horror franchise in the history of horror films is beyond me. But, if for some reason you haven't seen any of the Evil Dead movies here are the basics of the storyline and what you can expect to see:

A group of college kids take a quick weekend trip to a cabin in the woods. While there they accidentally read aloud from the Necronomicon AKA The Book of the Dead. This awakens a dark and ancient evil in the woods and it begins to possess some of them, turning them into Deadites AKA demons. Ashley "Ash" Williams our hero battles the Deadites with his boomstick AKA shotgun and chainsaw to save humanity by vanquishing the evil back to hell. It's wholesome, quality, family entertainment at its finest. Hail to the king baby!

To get all the details, dates, and showtimes for Evil Dead the Musical visit the official Trail of Fear website. Opening night is coming up on Friday, October 15th (10-15-21). You can also click here to purchase tickets and to see the dates the musical will be performing. Death, dismemberment, and dance moves. Sounds like an unforgettable evening! Needless to say, I've got that entirely too damn excited about to piss myself kinda feeling going on. I can't wait to see it and it's right here in Lawton, Fort Sill at the Trail of Fear!
