The search is finally over, at long last I've found my spirit animal. This giant mastiff recently competed in a dog show and when it came to the agility course he absolutely nailed it. The mastiff is a huge animal and they can weight over 200 pounds so normally you don't think of this breed when it comes speed and agility, until now.

He might not have been a favorite to win the agility course, but he certainly ended up being the crowd favorite. His slow and deliberate approach didn't set any records, but his determination and careful execution certainly did. I love how he does things at his own pace, he has no need to impress or feel the need to compete. He just does the best he can with what he's got. It's the attitude that makes this mastiff. After all being one of the largest breeds of dogs what's to prove? He's bigger, stronger and let's face it a lot more intimidating than all the others combined. We could all learn something from this incredible dog.

It's great how the entire crowd starts to get into it and mid-way through are cheering him on as he makes his way to the finish line. I'm sure in the beginning people thought why would a mastiff even do this, or why would the owner have him compete this isn't really a large breed type contest, or at least not for mastiffs anyway. I don't think I've ever seen a dog this big attempt it. In the end it was oblivious, he's already a winner!
