A snow day is kind of rare in SWOK. I mean, it's pretty normal for schools city offices to close on the chance of winter weather, even if it's just an overreaction to a dropped bag of ice, but actually getting snow to play in is rarity.

It used to happen more often. At least I can remember just about every snow day we had growing up. We'd have three or four winter storms in Northern Oklahoma each year, and each one was better than the last. Then we moved to Denver and there's no such thing as a snow day up there.

So what is the proper response to a snow day? Going outside and playing in it. I don't care how old you are, if Jack Lemmon and Ann-Margaret could make snow angels at their age in Grumpy Old Men, you can too.

Here's how SWOK spent their snow day.
