LAWTON, Okla. — Lawton Community Theatre is now accepting virtual auditions for its upcoming production of “The Last Five Years.” The production will be the theater’s first streamed performance, which is scheduled for late February.

“We are so excited to present our community with ‘The Last Five Years’ and to be able to do it in a safe manner,” said LCT’s Executive Director Chance Harmon. “This musical only has two cast members so we will be able to have safe rehearsals and recording performances, too.”

Harmon will be accepting virtual auditions up till 11:45 p.m. Jan. 14 via email at director@lctok.com. Audition packages will need to include a performance of a song from the show via a YouTube video link, a headshot and a resume. All items should be emailed to Harmon in one PDF. More details for audition packages can be found on the theater’s website, www.lawtoncommunitytheatre.com.

“The Last Five Years” is an emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years, the show's unconventional structure consists of Cathy, the woman, telling her story backwards while Jamie, the man, tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show.

“‘The Last Five Years’ is a great opportunity for actors with both range and stamina,” Harmon said.
