More Wind And Gorilla Hail Predicted This Weekend In Oklahoma
There's good news and bad news about Oklahoma's next round of severe weather. While tornado risks will be low - as of yet - big hail is the main threat to our next round of storms this weekend.

Specifically, as coined by the legendary nader-chasing Reed Timmer, expect gorilla hail for portions of the Sooner State.
While that forecast isn't what anyone wants to hear, we all know that personality meteorologists generally get a little excited and may tend to exaggerate the weather a little bit.
That being said, even the ultra-conservative Storm Prediction Center at the National Weather Service is somewhat aligning with these threats, although it's expected to escalate a bit between now and then. The focus is expected to grow to an area covering Southeast Oklahoma and portions of Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
On the bright side, nobody is talking about the threat of tornadoes with this next system as it rolls in over the weekend.
As it's still very early in Oklahoma's severe weather season, we'll take the good news when and where we can.
