This year seems to have everybody down in the dumps. Looking back on the craziness this world has existed in the last ten months, it's understandable. The real sad thing is, even if some are able to get away and go home for the holidays, the states their family lives in isn't real big on letting people back in at the moment. So what do you do?

Rent yourself a dream cabin down in Southeastern Oklahoma. Not only is SEOK known for swamps and world class meth, it's known for insanely luxurious cabin rentals surrounding the very pretty Broken Bow Lake.

"But it's winter!"

So what. So you can't hop into the lake to cool off, you won't need to cool off. Fishing is good this time of year too. I think my dad has filleted over a hundred crappie so far, and the bite is on. If that's not your thing, the cabins down that way are so nice and over the top, any significant other would jump on board with getting away from the mundane state of things in one of these cabins.

Here's the thing, there are a ton of cabins in SEOK for rent. Most all of them are available for two or three nights. It's not too far of a drive, and can often be pretty scenic as you meander through a bunch of tiny towns to get there. Once you arrive, toss the luggage in whatever room you call dibs on and just relax. Make yourself some cocoa or mix up an old fashioned. The sky is the limit when it comes to what is possible in the year of the pandemic.
