Here we are once again, the day before NYE and still looking for the best plans to ring in the new year. The biggest parties generally happen in OKC, so let's get a rundown of OKC New Year’s Eve events.

Pause - let’s be honest here, once kids enter your picture, midnight feels less magical and more like a personal challenge. OKC figured that out a while ago. Whether you’ve got little ones who want to ring in the new year, several happenings fit.

For the kids, the Noon Year’s Eve trend is the real MVP.

Science Museum Oklahoma is hosting a Noon Year’s Eve celebration from 9 AM to 12:30 PM. It’s early, it’s interactive, and everyone can count down without anyone melting down. Same idea over at the Edmond Library with their Noon Year’s Eve dance party during that same morning window. Music, movement, and zero pressure to stay up late.

Okana Resort is getting in on the fun too, hosting a Noon Year’s Eve from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. I don't have the specific details on it, but given the limited window, it's probably reserved for those staying at the park.

Then there’s Scissortail Park, which splits the difference. They’re hosting a family-friendly traditional New Year’s Eve celebration from 9:30 PM to 12:30 AM. Late enough to feel real, early enough that kids might actually make it to the countdown if you plan your snacks right.

Once the kids are covered, the adults can do what they do best.

Downtown is stacked with classic New Year’s Eve energy this year.

Cheers to New Year’s at the Truck Yard brings the casual party vibe. The National Downtown is leaning into the dress up, celebrate big mood. There’s a full NYE Bar Crawl at The Blok if bouncing around sounds fun. Ponyboy is throwing a Stranger Things-themed New Year’s Eve, which feels like a very OKC way to end the year. And of course, traditional ball dropping celebrations are happening right at midnight.

However you do it, early countdown, late night party, or both if you’re brave, OKC gives you options. That’s kind of the theme of the year anyway.

Pick your lane, grab your people, and send 2025 out properly.
