Even though it has probably happened in half of the years, nobody in Oklahoma enjoys a rainy start to summer. According to the forecasts, Memorial Day Weekend is going to be not only wet but also severe across some portions of the state.

Luckily, the tornado threat, while there, is generally low. Hail is going to be the big threat throughout the weekend.

Where and when?

The first round is going to sweep from the South on Thursday. Even with low chances of severe weather, it seems every meteorologist is talking about big hail happening in waves that will start in SEOK, which will cause a chain reaction back in SWOK.

A similar pattern of chain-reaction storms will likely happen across Northern and NEOK on Friday, headed into the weekend.

Looking ahead through the weekend, a cold front is going to bring some cool temperatures back to Oklahoma along with plenty of rain.

It's still too far out to determine where the rain is going to happen, but there's six days of rain in the forecast starting tomorrow.

As we roll through the next few days, with so much uncertainty in the air, you're best bet is to keep an eye in the sky wherever you happen to be across the Sooner State.

Tiny Oklahoma Towns With Populations Less Than 15

The list of tiny Oklahoma towns is surprisingly longer than one might expect. By any metric of measurement, a "small town" in Oklahoma is widely considered under 5,000 people, but these tiny towns of 15 or fewer people redefine how we think of small towns.
