Oklahoma Faces Another Day Of Severe Weather Before Friday Threat Builds
Oklahoma may have had to wait around all day for the predicted severe weather to hit, but at least the forecast proved true on Tuesday.
Down in Southwest Oklahoma, we had lots of wind and a little bit of hail, but it was nothing like what swept across Tulsa.
Wednesday's forecast is much like Tuesday's was. High risks of afternoon and evening storms. Wind, hail, and even tornadoes.
Here's the outlook.
Much of the same severe weather risks as yesterday, but everything is finally shifting Eastward with the dry line.
Still, much of the Sooner State is well within the watch area.
It's going to be another wait and see sort of day.
The bigger worry is Friday.
While we normally get a good week or so in between severe weather systems, this week is special. Tomorrow (Thursday) will likely be super quiet, but it all ramps back up at the end of the week.
From the NOAA Storm Prediction Center, the Friday threat is going to be a little above the last few days we've had, but only for the Northern and Northeastern OK areas as it stretches up into the Midwest.
As NOAA talks about it in predictions, while supercells and large tornadoes will be possible in Oklahoma and Southern Kansas, the bigger emphasis is going to be further North.
It'll be another 50/50 day for Oklahoma.
