Oklahoma Will Pay for Your Tornado Shelter
Since an early Oklahoma spring has reminded us all of the importance and value of having a tornado shelter.
Google searches in Oklahoma have swelled over the last few days, and since everything does tend to cost quite a bit, it's worth noting there's a program in Oklahoma that could provide you a nearly-free shelter.

What's the catch?
It's a rebate, which means you'll have to pay upfront for your storm shelter and catch a break on the backend of it at the end of the year.
It's called the SoonerSafe Safe Room Rebate Program, here's how it works.
You hire a company to design and install your safe room, then you can apply for the rebate. Only a handful of people are awarded this rebate each year, and it's done by random drawing.
While every Oklahoman is eligible, special attention is paid to those in the most tornado-prone counties in the state.
Priority is given to those living in the following counties: Blaine, Caddo, Carter, Craig, Custer, Delaware, Hughes, Jackson, Johnston, Kay, Lincoln, Love, Mayes, McClain, Murray, Muskogee, Nowata, Okfuskee, Okmulgee, Osage, Ottawa, Pontotoc, Pottawatomie, Rogers, Washington, and Washita.
Here are all of the details about it, but entry for the program isn't open just yet. If you're installing a shelter this year, bookmark it and come back to it after your secure your safety in your home.
