Oklahoma’s Weirdest Thanksgiving Foods
As we roll through this week, I'd assume most of us are trying to nail down the final details of our collective Thanksgiving holiday.
While you're communicating with the family about who is prepping what for the big meal in a week's time, we're all scrambling to put together our own celebration here at work.
We're all making lazy plans... You know, signing up to bring foods that are both traditional, but also easy. This is just the obligatory workplace celebration, not the actual holiday. If anything, it's the dress rehearsal.
After looking over a bunch of recipes, I opted to just bring Texas Roadhouse rolls and butter because while I love serving up delicious food, I'm only looking to put coworker effort into it for my part.
While looking at recipes, I did have a thought to bring something that was unique to Oklahoma... but after a marathon of website googling, shock, and horror, I figured I had to share what I found with you.
Fair warning, some of these dishes are not for the faint of heart. They're weird and strange, but they're shockingly popular in some families around the state.
