What’s Up With the Smell At the Cache Road Braum’s in Lawton?

A few times each week, a few of us will hop in the station vehicle and go have a communal lunch somewhere around town.

Shout-out to Rib Crib! Amy is the GOAT at serving up the smokey stuff.

Once in a while, ice cream just sounds like a good way to saunter back into work. And since Braum's is the best ice cream in Oklahoma, we'll end up there. The Cache Road location out by the Quannah Parker Y always seems like the most convenient location, but something just doesn't smell right in that drive-thru.

It really stinks.

While we all look forward to the random ice cream trips, we equally dread the experience. There is something rotten between the two windows at that location, yet we can never agree on what it is.

Sometimes it smells like rancid fat vats full of old oil waiting to be recycled...

Other times it smells like straight-up sewage...

Either way, it's a real killer of excitement and makes for a very nervous couple of minutes. It's a lot harder for a group to keep their collective composure than the individual. Like projectile vomiting is a team sport or something.

It certainly wouldn't be the first time a restaurant in Lawton was leaking sewage into the parking lot...
