Things You Need to Know if You’re Going to Rocklahoma 2021
Hard to believe it's almost here. Next weekend Rocklahoma 2021 invades Pryor, OK. the "Catch the Fever Festival Fairgrounds." The mega three day, three stage live music festival is making it's triumphant and magnificent return. This will be the first time it's been held on Labor Day weekend. Normally it's in May during Memorial Day weekend. Say what you want but I think moving it to September is a good thing.
The best part of having Rocklahoma in September vs May is the reduced chance for severe weather. Now don't get me wrong it could still happen, it's Oklahoma after all. Plus it shouldn't be as hot with temps somewhere around 90-95 degrees for most of the weekend. At least that's what it's looking like right now. That may sound hot to some, but it sure beats the usual May temperatures.
If this will be your first Rocklahoma, or if it's been awhile since you've gone there's a few things you should know. Start packing and planning if you haven't' already. You don't want to leave anything behind you'll need later that's for sure. It's better to be over prepared than under prepared, especially if you 'll be going all three days and camping. Hit play on the video below for some great suggestions on Rocklahoma 2021:
The basics are this. If you think you may need it, bring it. Z94 will be set up broadcasting live all three days on "Radio Row." If you get a chance stop by and see us, we'll be bringing you all the front row and backstage insanity that is Rocklahoma 2021. You'll want to tune in throughout the weekend for updates, interviews and check the site and the Z94 mobile app often for exclusive coverage and photos from this year's festival.
Can't wait to see everyone again, it feels like it's been forever. There are people I only get to see at Rocklahoma. People I've met over the years at the festival and are now friends with from all over the U.S.
It's a lot more than just a concert or festival. You'll get to met all kinds of cool people and share in the Rocklahoma experience together. I can't think of a better way to wrap up the Summer than a big three day party with like minded people! It'll kick off this Friday (09-03-21) and run until Sunday (09-05-21).
If you're planning to make the trip and will be in attendance for this year's Rocklahoma I'm looking forward to seeing you there. Get there and back in one piece and have a great Labor Day weekend, lets rock!
