Tips To Save Even More Money On PSO’s Power Hours
PSO's Power Hours program has officially started as we roll into June. If you don't know what that is you may be missing out on a proven way to cut down that electric bill. I'll explain.
It works like this... As an incentive to curb your electricity usage during the peak time of the day - AKA - the heat of the day, PSO offers unlimited cheap electricity at just 3.7282¢ per kilowatt-hour.
That price is just over half of the normal non-Power Hours rate of 6.3496¢ rate which boosts to 8.1655¢ above a certain usage level. While it doesn't offer an incentive to every electric user, most people see actual savings during the program.
So what's the catch? The price for electricity during those peak hours is ridiculously high... It'll cost you 18.158¢ per kilowatt-hour between the hours of 2 PM and 7 PM. Obviously, you want to curb your electricity usage as much as possible during this time, but with our heat in Southwest Oklahoma, that's not always an easy thing to do.
Luckily, there are some really cheap people out there that make it their mission in life to lower their energy consumption... I'm one of them. Take a few tips from me.
