Ferrell was actually filming a project that took him on a road trip across Texas... and when in the Lone Star State...

In the Netflix travel documentary Will & Harper, the two stopped into the famed steakhouse to take in their own experience. What the cameras didn't show was the unrelenting jeers and boos that came after the Hollywood pair failed to read the room and started in with California politics... In the most rural, conservative portion of Texas.

Everything you would expect to happen did, and viewers were no wiser thanks to heavy editing.
