Who had "new homegrown Oklahoma conspiracy theorist terrorist network" on their 2025 Sooner State bingo card?

It seems Oklahoma has found itself at war with a new group of crazy, and they've struck first.

There is a group of people here in Oklahoma who believe our weather radars are more than just tools we use to track the weather. You know, when severe weather strikes, we're all glued to the TV and our phones for radar updates, to see if we're in harm's way.

They are a small anti-government militia group named Veterans On Patrol, who all believe our state radar sites are actively controlling the weather, and they claim they are now attacking them.

Are they really, though?

Pepperidge Farm remembers a time when horrific events all across the globe happened, ISIS took full credit for it, even when the world knew they had no involvement.

This is what is technically called a false flag, and odds are the Arizona group is taking credit for a crazy lone wolf's actions just to get their name out there in the media, and the media is falling over themselves to make that happen.

There is more to the story...

As easy as it would be to compare the Veterans On Patrol to ISIS in that false flag narrative of making headlines, they did apparently give a heads up to anyone paying attention as to what they were planning.

They literally posted a sign at one of Oklahoma's radar sites.

This is where we are in 2025.

This could echo the Waco Branch Davidian/Murrah Building Bombing scenario.

The attack on the OKC metro-area Doppler site happened just days after Veterans On Patrol leader Michael Meyer (Yeah, Baby!) - who is not a veteran - took to the internet, blaming the government for what transpired after the horrific flooding events in Central Texas... then a claimed Veterans On Patrol "agent" hopped up to Oklahoma City to attack a radar site?

The vandal was also arrested on an unrelated charge, just like Timothy McVeigh.

The takeaway.

The world is full of crazy, and it's finding a way into the Sooner State.

While it's easy to dismiss all this craziness as conspiracy nuts with fringe beliefs, they're now having a tangible impact in the state. Vandalizing one radar site doesn't matter much to Oklahoma as a whole, but it gives groups like Veterans On Patrol a microphone to spread their misinformation when they become news of the day.

Want to avoid the shenanigans? Don't watch the news until severe weather strikes. That's the one time when it's actually more useful than your phone connected to the internet.

Oklahoma's Best BBQ Joints

Nothing in Oklahoma is debated more passionately than who makes the best BBQ. While they all smoke meat, there are some huge differences in how that process is done. Type of wood, length of cook, foil vs paper wrap, and even the hot topics of seasoning, binders, and sauce come into play. What you like others may not, and vice versa. Since we can't just pick a top five or ten, here are the Oklahoma BBQ joints that have the biggest fans.
