I literally just found out about this place and you can bet I'm already planning a visit. Did you know that Oklahoma has one of the largest G.I. Joe museums? It's home to over 300 of these iconic fighting figures.

I spent countless hours as a kid growing up playing G.I. Joe with friends. We'd all get together and bring out our figures, vehicles, and accessories for all-day wars and heroics. They remain my favorite toy to this day.

You'll find this amazing G.I. Joe Museum and Repair Shop at 1107 Main Street in Lone Wolf, OK. It's a small town, how small? It has a population of around 370 people. It's located in S.W. Oklahoma in Kiowa County.

The museum has over 300 of the classic original G.I. Joes from the 1960s through 1970s. These were the larger figures that were similar in size to a Barbie Doll versus the smaller action figures released in 1982.

The original G.I. Joe AKA full-sized Joe is one of the most iconic, collectible, and popular toys from the seventies. If you're from that era you know firsthand how awesome they were. Sadly mine have all been lost.

The G.I. Joe Museum has an incredible collection, they also have some amazing displays and action scenes. A lot of these figures you probably haven't seen since childhood. Some are packaged, and some are out.

This place has it all, and then some. Not only do they have one of the largest collections of G.I. Joe they also repair and restore figures, vehicles, and all things G.I. Joe. The owners and staff are fans and collectors too.

You have to check them out on Facebook and scroll through all the pictures. It will definitely bring back some great memories. Now I wish I took better care of my G.I. Joes and still had some, better yet all of them.

I'm thinking a quick day trip or staycation is in order. Lone Wolf is only about 75 miles away. Just a short hour and twenty-minute drive from Lawton, Fort Sill. G.I. Joe Museum and Repair Shop, ready or not here I come.
