The Big Bass Are Starting Their Spring Bite!
Just South of Waurika Lake, there's a little known honey-hole of fishing fun, Jap Beaver Lake - AKA - The Original Waurika Lake. It's tiny at 65 acres compared to its 10,000 acre neighbor to the North. As you can see above, both are incredible fisheries at different points throughout the year. Both small and large mouth bass, tasty saugeye, fun-fighting hybrids, and even those nasty fat cats.
The real selling point on Jap Beaver Lake is the shoreline. It's just at, or a little over a mile around... That means you can walk out there and cover the ground, finding the best holes and points that work best for you. If you're up for a little dirt road tripping, the bite is beginning now... Here's the info.
