There’s a Chance it Won’t Rain in Oklahoma This October
In a normal and average year, Oklahoma stays mainly dry throughout the hotter months of summer, and we usually get relief as fall rolls in. Ample amounts of steady soaking rain or the occasional early October ice storm, but meteorologists have predicted that's not what will happen in 2024.
The current forecast says there's a very large chance most of Oklahoma will go without any rain throughout the month of October.
While cotton farmers are likely somewhat appreciative of the dry weather, with muddy and impassable harvests in the last few years, nobody prays for no rain.
While Oklahoma went into the summer wet and without drought conditions, that's not the tale we're experiencing today.
This might be one of those time when people actually hope the meteorologists are wrong, but the highest weather authorities in the Sooner State are backing predictions. It could be a long, dry fall.
