Oklahoma will soon be home to a new electric vehicle manufacturer called Canoo. They plan to set up shop in both Tulsa and Pryor, OK. Recently it was announced by Governor Kevin Stitt that the state has provided $15 million from Oklahoma's "Quick Action Closing Fund" to Canoo as part of a $300 million dollar incentive package. It will assist the company in building factories and operations centers in the Sooner State.

If you're unfamiliar with Canoo they're one of the most innovative and unique electric vehicle manufacturers in the U.S. they make all types of vehicles including cars, trucks, vans, and more. They also developed an electric platform/chassis that you can fully customize into whatever kind of vehicle you'd like. The website states: "Engineering the impossible. Driven by technology, Canoo electric vehicles are powered by innovation that puts you in charge." This is great news for Oklahoma and will do a lot to help our economy. It's predicted that Canoo will be providing around 2,000 jobs in manufacturing, operations, and other employment opportunities.

The primary hub or ops center will be located in Tulsa, OK. and their factory will be in Pryor, OK. at the "MidAmerica Industrial Park." Canoo will also have remote jobs available as well so they're not all going to be in Tulsa and Pryor. We'll keep you posted on the progress, once they start hiring we'll be sure to pass it along.
