Why Place Kickers Are Crucial, But There Are Physical Limits
If you can remember Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, you'll know that it's the place kicker that can make or break a teams record. Often underrated, these place kickers get called 'dainty' because they're not supposed to ever take hits, but are the second most important players on the team. We can go ahead and list quarterbacks as the first, because after thirty years of record breaking talents, we've seen them do wondrous things with terrible teams. We've also seen really underrated kickers pull off miracles at 64 yards. But there's a limit to how far a ball can travel.
