We're making progress but Oklahoma remains above the National average regarding crime according to the most recent FBI crime statistics. The good news is things are improving. Several towns and cities in the state that have little to no crime to report.

Most of the cities and towns that made the top 10 safest places are located in the southwest central portion of the state. One town made it to the top of the list at #1 for its 5th or 6th consecutive year, that's quite an accomplishment. Most of these towns or cities are quite small with populations under 9,000.
