Pettijohn’s Off-Road Park Is Opening More Trails For UTV’s
The world of side-by-sides and UTV's has exploded in the last decade, but having a place to play with them has always been a challenge in Oklahoma. Since most of the rural spaces are delegated farmland, and the vast majority of mountainous terrain is state and federal property, places to take them off the beaten path are few and far between.
In Oklahoma, the standard places that welcome these vehicles have been the usual haunts... Little Sahara in Northwest Oklahoma, Disney/Hogan's in Northeast Oklahoma, and Crosstimbers Southeast of OKC. Southwest Oklahoma has been out of the SxS/UTV loop until now.
Pettijohn's Off-Road Park in Rush Springs just announced they were taking the tractors out into the woods to widen some of their epic trails to accommodate these off-road station wagons.

Yes, the odds of encountering these neat vehicles on the trails will grow higher, the point most people will miss is the fact you'll have newly manicured trails to enjoy for your daily admission. If you've ever ridden the state trails that get zero maintenance, such as the trails we normally ride at Kaw ORV, you'll appreciate the hard work Pettijohn's is committing to here.
If you have a SxS or UTV and you're always looking for a place to get technical, here are the details.
