Downtown Lawton

Paranormal Cirque is returning to town for an unforgettable evening of fantasy, frights, and fun the likes of which you've never experienced before. This isn't your parents circus.

There's been a rumor going around town that the City is considering purchasing the old Lawtonian Apartment building next to the Central Plaza in downtown Lawton. Some say it would be used in conjunction with FISTA.

It won't be long now. We stopped by the new farmers market in downtown Lawton this morning to take a quick look around. They're making some serious progress and construction crews are working pretty much around the clock. It should be open sometime soon.

Not too sure what it will be but they're building something in downtown Lawton, Fort Sill. The construction site is right behind City Hall near the corner of 8th Street and B Avenue.

A downtown Lawton business is celebrating its 40th anniversary this month. Massad's Gift Shop located at 413 S.W. C Avenue opened back in 1981 and has been serving the Lawton, Fort Sill community ever since.

It's back! It was just announced that "Open Streets" will return this Fall to downtown Lawton, Fort Sill. Now that we're finally starting to get on the other side of the pandemic we can finally get back to all our favorite community events and get togethers. It's about time!

A brand new business will be opening up in Lawton, Fort Sill a little later this week. Coming up on Friday, June 4th (06-04-21) Roam Office Space will officially be opening it's doors and ready for business. The ribbon cutting ceremony with the Lawton, Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for this Friday at 3:00pm and everyone's welcome to attend.

Now that the City of Lawton owns the Central Mall they're looking to fill empty space and there's a lot of it! Parts of the mall will be used for the FISTA project and the other for retail stores and restaurants. They hope to fill all the remaining empty spaces in the mall with new stores, places to eat and other businesses.

We just got the word that the Lawton Armed Forces Day Parade is a go for this year! Unfortunately it was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but it's returning for 2021. The Lawton Armed Forces Day parade is one of the longest running and biggest Armed Forces Day parades in the country.

First Baptist Church in downtown Lawton located at 501 S.W. B Avenue will be having a food distribution event tomorrow morning (04-10-21) starting at 9:00am. They'll be handing out FREE FOOD that includes milk, meat, dairy and produce while supplies last.
