Lawton’s Farmers Market Celebrates Christmas in July

All month long, businesses, websites, and groups have been celebrating 'Christmas in July' with special discounts, even some early Christmas garments, and special prices on all things Christmas.

Lawton Farmers Market is the latest to join the Christmas Hullabaloo!  This Saturday, July 30, the Lawton Farmers Market will also have a Christmas in July event.

Since moving into its permanent location, Lawton Farmers Market has continued to create exciting activities for Lawton and surrounding areas. Each Tuesday evening, the Lawton Farmers Market opens with food trucks to gather those who may not be able to make the traditional Saturday morning time frame that has long been the shopping time for those wishing to choose from farm-fresh veggies and fruits.

Once a month on the third Sunday of the month, the Lawton Farmers Market also celebrates crafters and artisans exhibiting their wares.

The mission of Lawton Farmers Market is to support our southwest Oklahoma farmers by connecting consumers directly to local food producers, strengthening community bonds by bringing friends, neighbors, and visitors together to create a sense of community and social gathering, and educating the general public on the benefits of eating locally produced food. We act as a gathering place, as well as a resource, for learning about food, agriculture, and nutrition.

Celebrating Christmas in July is something I can certainly approve of, after all, I am 'Jeri Christmas'. And if you can get ahead on your Christmas shopping, can there be anything wrong with that?  I think not.

Tuesday Market and Food Truck Tuesday
Tuesdays, Memorial Day through Labor Day 4:00-7:00 p.m.

Third Sunday Artisan Market
Third Sunday of each month 12:00-4:00 p.m.
