It's certainly no secret that yours truly loves guns and loves the "Gunny". Both come together for this hilarious commercial for the 2012 "Trigger The Vote" voter registration campaign. It's message is very clear and is meant to encourage all freedom loving Americans, especially gun owners to register to vote. "Trigger The Vote" is sponsored by the N.R.A's Freedom Action Foundation and it's Honorary Chairman is none other than Chuck Norris!  This year's add features R. Lee Ermery, better known as the "Gunny". You've seen him on T.V. and movies. Who could forget his role as Gunnery Sergeant Hartman from "Full Metal Jacket" the role in which he's probably best known for. He's been in over 60 films, plus television shows and specials like the History Channel's "Mail Call" and "Lock-N-Load". Recently R. Lee Ermey became the spokesman for Victory Motorcycles and is currently the spokesman for Glock firearms and SOG knives. You've also seen him on GEICO commercials  and several others.  He's a card carrying member of the N.R.A. and sits on the board of directors. Here's the latest "Trigger The Vote" commercial featuring the "Gunny".
Inspired? I certainly hope so because both the "Gunny" and Chuck Norris are keeping track of who's voting and who's not. You don't want to be on the wrong list. If you care about your rights and freedoms as an American you'll register to vote then exercise that right this November. Regardless of party affiliation it's vitally important that "We the people" take part in deciding who our leaders will be. If you're a gun owner and or believe in our Constitutional right to keep and bear arms then you'll want to take it even further. Register to vote and become a member of the oldest civil rights organization in the United States the National Rifle Association. It amazes me how many people who are gun owners and supposedly support our Second Amendment  rights, but aren't members of the N.R.A or worse, not registered to vote. I see all these pro gun messages on hats, t-shirts, bumper stickers and even on people's Facebook walls, but when asked if they're registered to vote or members of the N.R.A they say no. What are you waiting for? There's a lot more to your Second Amendment rights and freedoms than just catchy slogans and apparel. While it's nice that so many people openly support the right to keep and bear arms, few are actually defending that right. Our Constitution, the Bill Of Rights isn't a partisan issue. It doesn't fall between party lines as Republicans or Democrats. Our freedoms are just that OURS! Get involved, help defend our rights and ensure the continued freedoms for generations to come.
